The purpose of the Jasper Soil & Water Conservation District is to be responsible to the citizens of the district in matters involving resources conservation, to promote wise and responsible use of natural resources, to develop and implement programs to protect and conserve soil, water, farmland, woodland, wildlife, energy, and riparian and wetland resources. The JSWCD also strives to provide quality environmental education for visitors, students, and teachers of all ages at our Blue Heron Nature Learning Center. The programs that we offer, at no charge to the public, are dedicated to the natural resources within the district for the benefit of our citizens.
